Chester Gras celebrates a traditional Cajun Mardi Gras in Kent County style. Hosted by THE PEOPLES BANK, Chester Gras raises money for the Backpack Program of the Kent County Community Food Pantry. Now in it’s sixth year, Chester Gras includes a parade, food, games, live music, a silent auction, costume contest, and more.

Proceeds from our silent auction all go to the Backpack Program. We are always in need of donated items. If you would like to donate, refer to this form.
Our food vendors all prepare authentic New Orleans cuisine such as gumbo, shrimp and grits, red beans and rice, etc.
